\nSTAGE<\/h2>\nEstablished in 1987 by Artistic Director Alvin Tan, The Necessary Stage (TNS) is a non-profit theatre company with charity status. TNS\u2019 mission is to create challenging, indigenous and innovative theatre that touches the heart and mind.<\/p>\n
TNS is a recipient of the National Arts Council\u2019s Major Grant FY 2020-2022, and is also the organiser of the M1 Singapore Fringe Festival.<\/p>\n
TNS also has the honour of being the only arts company in Singapore helmed by two Cultural Medallion recipients: Artistic Director Alvin Tan and Resident Playwright Haresh Sharma.<\/p>\n
